Organic Farm

About Us

We strive to bring joy and health to our community by creating a beautiful farm, market, “farm-to-table” café & natural foods store.  It’s quite a unique experience to be able to see the actual farm that grows the food you’re enjoying!

We also grow for area farmers markets, for wholesale, AND for people who buy subscriptions to our weekly or bi-weekly “CSA Farm Boxes ‘O Goodness”… That’s where people pre-order fresh veggie boxes for pick-up on a regular basis year-round.  Customers may choose the schedule and length of time that works best for them.

We  have convenient pick-up points in Traverse City (5), Elk Rapids, Bellaire, East Jordan, Charlevoix, Beaver Island, Boyne City (2), Gaylord, Petoskey, and here at Providence Organic Farm in Central Lake (2).

What WE GROW

All kinds of certified organic veggies & fruits (strawberries & melons)… grass-fed beef & lamb & forest-raised pork.

Mexican food this Saturday! 11/22

This weekend we are highlighting our lamb quesabirria tacos. It is a  mouth watering recipe that involves braising the lamb in an ancho and chile guajillo stew, then the meat is layered with mozzarella cheese, then fried in a chili oil for crispiness. This flavorful taco comes with a consommé broth for dipping your taco in, as-well as cilantro, onion, and lime. The mexican way to eat a quesabirria taco is to squeeze the lime into the broth, and pour in chopped cilantro and onions. Then dunk and enjoy!

We have our meat in for the year!

Now is a time to bulk order our beef, lamb, or pork. Each quarter of the animal needs a $125 deposit to secure your purchase. All animals are only fed organic hay and non-sprayed green pasture! Never grain fed or finished, and NO hormones or antibiotics ever given. Our belted galloway cows and katahdin sheep have a thick layer of fur that is able to withstand northren Michigan’s unpredictable weather in the winter. In the summer, our mixed heritage pigs enjoy their swamp oasis, where they can mud bathe and rest

We are excited to announce our Venezuelan farm to table Christmas dinner on December tenth! The farm to table is a three course meal featuring providence meat and produced in delicious Venezuelan recipes. The pace of serving is not rushed to savor conversations with your table and the food placed in front of you. Chef Elizabeth will explain each meal with traditional background so you are informed of the history behind your plate. Check out our farm to table section on the website to see the menu!
